【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60079isconcernedwiththeclassificationofareaswhereflammablegasorvapourormisthazards(seeNotes1,2and3)mayariseandmaythenbeusedasabasistosupporttheproperselectionandinstallationofequipmentforuseinahazardousarea.Itisintendedtobeappliedwheretheremaybeanignitionhazardduetothepresenceofflammablegasorvapour,mixedwithairundernormalatmosphericconditions(seeNote4),butitdoesnotapplytoa)minessusceptibletofiredamp;b)theprocessingandmanufactureofexplosives;c)areaswhereahazardmayariseduetothepresenceofcombustibledustsorfibres(refertoIEC61241-10/IEC60079-10-2);d)catastrophicfailureswhicharebeyondtheconceptofabnormalitydealtwithinthisstandard(seeNote5);e)roomsusedformedicalpurposes;f)domesticpremises.Thisstandarddoesnottakeintoaccounttheeffectsofconsequentialdamage.Definitionsandexplanationsoftermsaregiventogetherwiththemainprinciplesandproceduresrelatingtohazardousareaclassification.Fordetailedrecommendationsregardingtheextentofthehazardousareasinspecificindustriesorapplications,referencemaybemadetonationalorindustrycodesrelatingtothoseapplications.NOTE1Flammablemistsmayformorbepresentatthesametimeasflammablevapours.Liquidsnotconsideredtobehazardousintermsofthisstandard(duetotheflashpoint),whenreleasedunderpressuremayalsogenerateflammablemists.Insuchcases,thestrictapplicationofareaclassificationforgasesandvapoursmaynotbeappropriateasthebasisforselectionofequipment.InformationonflammablemistsisprovidedinAnnexD.NOTE2TheuseofIEC60079-14forselectionofequipmentandinstallationsisnotrequiredformisthazards.NOTE3Forthepurposeofthisstandard,anareaisathree-dimensionalregionorspace.NOTE4Atmosphericconditionsincludevariationsaboveandbelowreferencelevelsof101,3kPa(1013mbar)and20°C(293K),providedthatthevariationshaveanegligibleeffectontheexplosionpropertiesoftheflammablematerials.NOTE5Catastrophicfailureinthiscontextisapplied,forexample,totheruptureofaprocessvesselorpipelineandeventsthatarenotpredictable.NOTE6Inanyprocessplant,irrespectiveofsize,theremaybenumeroussourcesofignitionapartfromthoseassociatedwithequipment.Appropriateprecautionswillbenecessarytoensuresafetyinthiscontext.Thisstandardmaybeusedwithjudgementforotherignitionsources.
